INDIANAPOLIS (WIBQ)-Hoosiers may be able to buy beer on Sundays. At the end of February the Indiana Senate approved a bill allowing Sunday beer sales at microbreweries.

The idea of the bill is to increase brewery business and benefit the state at the same time.

The bill does limit the amount of beer a microbrewery can sell to two cases.

But it also reverses the state law prohibiting alcohol sales on election days.

The Senate and House have approved the bill.

It now awaits approval from Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.

Authors of the bill argue wineries in Indiana are allowed to sell their product.

They say breweries should be given the same privilege.
