EDWARDSPORT, IND. (WIBQ)-Changes are coming to a multi-billion dollar project in Knox County.
State regulators have approved "permit modifications" at the Edwardsport power plant.
Indiana's department of environmental management heard public comments in january before making the decision. The changes involve how duke energy will handle coal.
The 2-billion dollar power plant will use new coal gasification technology. The new plant is set to open in 2012.
